Margaret Henley
From Neverpedia
Margaret Henley is arguably the inventor of the name Wendy.
She was the very young daughter of Barrie's friend William Ernest Henley, and like most children whom Barrie took a fancy to, it was mutual. She called Barrie her friendy, but since she had difficulty pronouncing the letter r, it usually came out as fwendy. Add a little childlike repetition and it became fwendy-wendy. Margaret died at the age of 6.
