Lynn Redgrave

Lynn Rachel Redgrave (March 8, 1943 – May 2, 2010) was an English actress. She played the original character of the Darling children's Aunt Millicent in the 2003 film Peter Pan.
A member of the Redgrave family of actors, she trained in London, before making her theatrical debut in 1962. By the mid 1960s she had appeared in several films, including Tom Jones (1963), and Georgy Girl (1966), which won her a New York Film Critics Award and nominations for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She continued acting reguarly in films into the 1970s, including a segment of Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask), and starring in the somewhat scandalous The Happy Hooker (1975), based on the memoir of a prostitute and bordello operator.
In 1967, she made her Broadway debut, and has since performed in several stage productions in New York, while continuing to make frequent returns to the London West End. She has performed with her sister Vanessa in Three Sisters in London, and in the title role in a television production of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Redgrave made a return to films in the late 1990s in films such as Shine (1996) and Gods and Monsters (1998), for which she received another Academy Award nomination. She continues doing occasional voice work for animation, and roles as matronly characters such as Aunt Millicent.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2002, and had a mastectomy and chemotherapy. She died from breast cancer on May 2, 2010. Her brother, actor Corin Redgrave, also a cancer patient, had died on 6 April 2010, aged 70.
