Hook & Jill
Hook & Jill is NOT a sequel. Rather it's a 'What If?' which skews the original timeline completely.
- Thanks for the correction; I've fixed the description. Obviously there's a lot of new material (and some old) that I haven't had a chance to read yet. - JAQ
Bloomsbury
I need help creating an article on Bloomsbury. Angie Y. 12:32, 21 August 2011 (EDT)
It's not really an interpretation
As explained here:
"Neverland is a metaphor for a child's make-believe and dreams, which also shape the island and give it its magic. It can become real, an amalgamation of fantasy, for those that are gay [joyful], innocent and heartless, or when the island is "looking for them." (P&W)"
Angie Y. 11:56, 22 August 2011 (EDT)
- But that doesn't say that the story was a dream. A metaphor is when "a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable, in order to suggest a resemblance". So Neverland is like a dream. It is shaped by dreams. But the book makes it very clear that the adventure that the Darling children have in Neverland is not a dream. -JAQ 13:36, 22 August 2011 (EDT)
That's true, but look at the 1953 Disney film. At the end, Wendy and her parents see a cloud formation in the shape of a pirate ship; George does not say he went on any adventures, but he instead says he saw the ship made of clouds before when he was young. At the beginning, the three children are in bed asleep. Angie Y. 14:07, 22 August 2011 (EDT)
- Which doesn't really say anything about it being a dream. Look, the fact that Walt Disney saw The Wizard of Oz film too many times, and hinted that maybe "it was all a dream", and you apparently really like that idea for some reason, it doesn't justify pushing that as the way people should read the story. The guy who wrote it made it clear that it wasn't supposed to be a dream, which means that Disney's film is just another example of an unfaithful film adaptation of literature. -JAQ 16:12, 22 August 2011 (EDT)
I sae now. Thanks for clearing that up. Angie Y. 18:59, 22 August 2011 (EDT)
Bloomsbury article needs explansion
The article on Bloomsbury needs expansion. Angie Y. 22:02, 3 September 2011 (EDT)
Hi!
I am working on a book about Disney Fairies, and I tell my little brothers and sisters stories about them every night, adding new charachters in all of the time. Is it okay if I put those Charachters on this website?
- I'd rather stick to characters who've been in published stories, like the Disney books and movies. -JAQ 13:12, 1 February 2012 (EST)
Hey, I saw that you wanted me to put those articles on Fairy 'Commonly asked Questions' on the same page, How do I do that? did you mean that you waned it all to be on the Pixie Hollow page or the Disney Fairies page? Thanks so much!
- Use your judgment which page the information fits best on, and try to incorporate it into the article. I'd just rather not have lots of pages with only one piece of information on them. -JAQ 15:57, 1 February 2012 (EST)
The reason why I asked about my other fairies was because I have told all of my friends about this website, and my other Fairies. {what they do, what they look like...} that's okay though. ;) thanks for all of your hard work! I am having fun!
Other TV Shows Q
Can I add 'The Pixie Hollow Games' to the article on 'Other TV shows' with Peter Pan? Or does it not count...?
- Sure, it counts! I've added it to the list. -JAQ 15:54, 1 February 2012 (EST)
I uploaded my photo
Now what? Can you put it on the article? {Its a picture of Glimmer, titled 'This_one.Jpeg.' Never mind. I DID IT!!! Go check out Glimmer I think we need to resise the photo though...
I fixed it, THX!
I fixed the article on Disney fairies with all of the questions and articles. I don't know how to delete the other articles, though. Hey, is there a Griffin or Phoenix that lives in Neverland? any other mythical animals other than Kyto the dragon? I need some info for tonight's story. ;)
Disney Fairies Books
you were missing alot of them, so here are some more. I may have listed some twice? and I dont have those numbers? I dont know. go check it out...
