The Peter Pan Alphabet Painting Book was first published in 1914 by Prang, the art-supply manufacturer. It included 25 illustrations (apparently one of the letters was omitted, or two were doubled up), for 25 cents. Included were instructions for painting them. Each sheet was perforated for easier removal from the book.

The artist who illustrated it is not credited. However the Library of Congress lists "[Goodenough (Florence I.)]" as the book's author. (Other authors in the catalog do not have their names in square brackets.) It is possible that this refers to Florence L. Goodenough, a psychologist who in 1926 developed a schizophrenia screening test for children which involved drawing figures of people.

Also offered by Prang were Hiawatha and Robinson Crusoe painting books, each featuring 12 illustrations for 10 cents.

It's fairly rare. Even rarer in unpainted condition.
