The Lost Girls: A Novel by Laurie Fox is an unauthorised sequel, published by Simon and Schuster in Janaury 2004. It joins the of Peter and Wendy story generations later, with Wendy Darling a frail – and seemingly delusional – old woman. Her daughter Jane has gone missing, leaving her granddaughter Margaret (who goes by "Maggie"). Maggie married Peter-Pan-like man named Dudley Braverman and raises a daughter – also named Wendy – without him. Wendy in turn has a daughter named Berry, with her "man-child" husband Freeman.
