Neverland, written by Joe Brusha and drawn by Vic Durichio, is a comics sequel and reinterpretation. It is part of Zenescope Comics' "Grimm Fairy Tales" line, which takes stories such as Alice in Wonderland and "Little Red Riding Hood", and sexes them up. These books are sometimes derided as "borderline porn", featuring lots of big-breasted women in skimpy outfits, often splattered with gore. In this 8-issue mini-series (#0-7), Peter has grown up and turned evil, using the children who come to Neverland to make him immortal.

The brief introduction in #0 (drawn by Jean-Paul DeShong) is set in the present, with a young woman named Wendy who lives with her nephews (not brothers) John and Michael Darling. A middle-aged man with a hooked prosthetic "pincher" hand, named Nathan Eton Cross, is getting psychiatric counselling. And a shadowy figure abducts a boy from New York City, with the aid of a woman with fairy wings.

Following the original mini-series, Zenescope launched a series Tales from Neverland featuring stories about characters from their version of Neverland. A one-shot set in Neverland is also included in a "Dream Eater Saga" crossover with other titles in their Grimm Fairy Tales line.
