Never Land Books
From Neverpedia
The Never Land Books or Never Land Adventures are a series of short chapter books set in Never Land, the home of Peter Pan. They are based on the situations and characters established in the novel Peter and the Starcatchers and its sequels, but are intended for younger readers (8-12). They're about 150 pages each and feature lots of spot illustrations and full-page scenes, every few pages.
Like the novels, they're written by Pulitzer Prize-winning humorist Dave Barry and suspense novelist Ridley Pearson, and illustrated by Greg Call. There were five books planned, but the releases appear to have stalled after the third. They are published by Hyperion Books, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The stories focus on supporting characters from the novels, such as the Indians, mermaids, pirates, and Lost Boys.

Because the setting of Never Land was still covered by Great Ormond Street Hospital's copyright in the European Union, these books were not offered for sale there before 2008. Hyperion published them in the U.S. in defiance of GOSH's claim that they had a copyright claim under U.S. law, which the hospital has since backed down from.
