Mary Darling

Mary Darling is the wife of George Darling and the mother of Wendy, John, and Michael, who travel with Peter to Neverland. She shares a first name with Barrie's wife. Her employment status is also unknown, given the job opportunities for women in the early 1900's were few. She is referred to as Mother by the children in most adaptations.
Mrs. Darling (as she is commonly referred) is a loving wife and mother, but not demonstratively so. She is said to have a kiss that she holds in the right corner of her mouth, which is reserved for one person, who is neither her husband nor any of her three children. It is later said that her kiss looks very much like Peter Pan.
Peter and the Starcatchers tells the story of Molly Aster, who is strongly implied to be young Mary (Molly being a common nickname for Mary in those days).
In the Disney version of the tale, she is voiced by and modelled after Heather Angel. In the live-action 2003 movie she is played by Olivia Williams.
