Jesse McCartney (born April 9, 1987) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. McCartney rose to fame in the early 2000s as member of the boy band Dream Street. He branched into a solo career as a musician, and acting primarily on television, and voice acting for animated films. He provides the voice of the male fairy Terence in the Tinker Bell films.

Jesse McCartney was born in Ardsley, New York to Scot and Ginger McCartney. He began performing in local community musicals at the age of seven, before joining the national tour of The King and I at age ten.

He moved to Los Angeles to become an actor and singer when he was 11. He appeared with Roger Daltrey in A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden. From 1998–2001, he played Adam Chandler, Jr. in the soap opera All My Children, a role for which he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination. He was a member of the boy band Dream Street from 1999 until the band broke up in 2002. He began work on a solo career with a local band, and produced several albums, including Beautiful Soul, Right Where You Want Me, and Departure.

In 2004-2005 he starred in the series Summerland on the WB network. In 2005, he appeared as himself in the Disney Channel show, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. In 2006, McCartney was also featured as the voice of Roxas in the Disney/Square Enix video game Kingdom Hearts II. In 2007, he appeared as himself in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana and voiced Theodore in 2007's Alvin and the Chipmunks. In 2008, McCartney was featured as the voice of Jojo McDodd in Horton Hears A Who! This led to his role as Terence in 2008's Tinker Bell. In 2008 he had his feature-film acting debut in the tile role of the independent teenage drama feature film, Keith. In 2009, he signed on to play a laid back and goofy college freshman athlete who rushes a fraternity in the ABC Family series Greek.
