J. E. Somma

J. Emily Somma is the author of two sequel novels to J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy: After the Rain, A New Adventure for Peter Pan and Peter's First Christmas. She has also co-written with L. David Arthur the book Golsteinsweg 22, a children's fantasy story set in the Netherlands.
Somma was born in Toronto in October 1958, but moved with her family to London. When she was 18, she returned to Canada, where she worked on her undergrad degree while working as an intern in the Women's Health Office at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. She compiled an educational anthology of works about women and HIV/AIDS, and developed workshops designed to educate service providers about the needs of victims of violent crime and other abuse. She has three grown children.
