For those looking for tenuous connections between Peter Pan and Alice of Wonderland, there is the flamingo.

In the early part of the novel Peter and Wendy, J. M. Barrie describes the Neverlands of John and Michael Darling. John's includes "a lagoon with flamingos flying over it" and Michael's includes "a flamingo with lagoons flying over it".

In Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Alice is invited to play lawn croquet with the Queen of Hearts, but "the balls were live hedgehogs, the mallets live flamingoes". "The chief difficulty Alice found at first was in managing her flamingo," observes the narrator.
