Barry Lawrence is the protagonist of the graphic novel Peterphile. He is 25 years old, but has tendency toward pedophilia, with a strong preference for teenage boys. When he meets Jamie Darling, a 17-year-old who has lived in Neverland, and hears about Peter Pan, Barry is eager to meet him. Jamie introduces him, and he promptly forgets about the older boy, instead pursuing Peter. He makes several attempts to seduce Peter, which riles Peter's new fairy Tanner Puck, but Peter views it all as a game, and does not develop the feelings that Barry wants him to have. Frustrated by the reality of what it means to be with a boy who doesn't grow up, Barry leaves and seeks out Jamie again, hoping to have a relationship with someone who can grow to love him like an adult.
